South Korea 7 Days Itinerary

Day 1 –
Seoul

Spend your first two days in the capital of the country, Seoul. As most travellers arrive and leave at Incheon International Airport, Seoul is the best place to start and end your trip. This city can be a very overwhelming experience for first timers, make sure you have your itinerary ready before arriving. The best sites to visit in those two days are all located in central Seoul and are within walking distance from each other. Start with visiting one of the 5 main palaces, Bukchon Hanok village, Insadong, Myeongdong and Jongyo on day one. Include one traditional market for lunch or even dinner.

Day 2 –
Dmz and Jsa

The DMZ and JSA are a must visit for any traveller. An easy Seoul day trip, located around an hour away up north and is the border which divides North and South Korea. This zone is only accessible for travellers which sign up for a group tour leaving from central Seoul. The tour leaves early in the morning and makes its way back to Seoul around 6 PM. Different kinds of Demilitarized Zone and Joint Security Area tours are available, all offering similar packages. Other sites that are included on most tours are Imjingak Park, the Unification Bridge, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, and Dorasan Station.TIP! When booking a tour, make sure that the JSA is included, as this is the most memorable and exciting part of the whole trip,

Day 3-4 –
Busan

Early morning on day 3 make your way to the South of the country, Busan. The best way to go from Seoul to Busan is by KTX or express bus. This will take around 2 – 4 hours.Busan is the 3rd biggest city in the country, but has a completely different atmosphere than any other city as it is located at the South East coast. Make sure to check out Jagalchi fish market, Hongdae beach and one of the temples.

Day 5-6–
Gyeongju

Make your way from Busan to Gyeongju on the morning of day 5. This is an easy one hour bus or train ride. One of the most beautiful cities in South Korea. Gyeongju is famous for being a museum without walls as it is filled with historical landmarks, temples and stunning landscapes. It is filled with UNESCO world heritage sites and the must see places are Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Cheomseongdae Observatory, Anapji Pond and the Tumuli Park.

Day 7 –
Seoul

Depending on the time of your flight, spend your last day in Seoul discovering the DDP, Itaewon, Gangnam or Hongdae. Enjoy your last day in SEOUL before making your way back to the airport.
